2 nights @ The Grand Hyatt?

In our marathon week last week of trips to RCH Emergency, overnight hospital stays and coming down with a whopper flu, I managed to present Chiara’s story to an amazing bunch of people at The Pullman Hotel.

I was invited to be a guest speaker for The Australian Institute of Hotel Engineers last Wednesday night. Although I was feeling a little under the weather, I felt completely welcomed and at ease, thanks to the supportive environment the AIHE team provided. Hey a little champagne and nibbles can do wonders for a cold 😉

Mauro and I were yet again, blown away by the generosity of people. It’s hard not to be moved to tears when people decide to take Chiara under their wing and provide opportunities to help her. This is exactly what this incredible team are doing for Chiara, rallying together to help in any way they can. It’s a huge help as we start to finalise flights, medical treatment and accommodation for the next trip to USA in November. It’s such a huge expense, but we don’t want to let that hold us back from providing Chiara with as much help as possible, early intervention is the key for brain-injured children.

AIHE are currently running an on-line Auction, an experience that most rev-heads can only dream of, 2 laps at Sandown Raceway in the Laser Porsche on the 11th of June between 10.00am and 12.00noon (see attached flyer) valued at $1,600. Pretty cool huh!

In additional they are also running a raffle. I have 10 tickets left, so if you would like to buy one for $5.00 let me know!

1st Prize: 2 nights at THE GRAND HYATT Melbourne.

2nd Prize: 1 night at THE STAMFORD PLAZA

Plus a selection of Mystery Prizes! Raffle will be drawn 24th June.

So to the amazing team at AIHE thank you for your team spirit, support and gusto to help us provide more opportunities for our daughter Chiara. And how did this all come about?  a brief conversation my Dad had with another member who decided to help one of his own, a loyal member of AIHE. You guys are amazing!

As one member said to me after I presented “Whatever you do, DON’T give up”!.. and of that I am sure I never will!
